ARTIST PROFILE:
Art has been a passion from an early age.
Kayleen began private art tuition at the age of 16.
She continued her education at RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and Victoria College studying fine art and drawing.
After College Kayleen worked in Graphics, and became involved in various art societies attended numerous demonstrations and workshops to expand her experience in different mediums and painting approaches. She studied for 2 years under the late Graham Moore.
Being a passionate and energetic artist has rewarded Kayleen with a respected reputation in recent years and is known for her love of portraits and figurative work. Her interest in all subjects and many mediums has enhanced her portfolio to include a variety of fresh & spontaneous artwork.
Kayleen has certified training in web design and is enjoying the introduction of digital media.
Kayleen's primary focus today is on painting and Children's Book Illustration.
Exhibitions:
Since 1992 Kayleen has exhibited solo and in professional joint exhibitions.
She has also won many awards for her work.
Her paintings hang in private and corporate collections in France, America, Ireland and Italy including the Australian Embassy in Ireland and in Shire and government collections in Australia.
Kayleen has experience in teaching, demonstrating and judging art shows.
