Pauline Stewart

ARTIST PROFILE:

Pauline Stewart, born in Melbourne, Victoria, is a realist artist of landscapes, seascapes still life and florals. She is acknowledged for her romantic landscapes and her treatment of the Australian bush scene.

She studied drawing at R.M.I.T, Oil painting at Box Hill Art Society 1967-1968; Victorian Artists Society 1967-1968. Dudley Drew 1974-1979; Mixed Media Victorian Artists Society 1983 -1984; Watercolour with David Taylor 1991-1993; Workshops with Robert Wade and Joseph Zbukbic 1991-1993. Ron Muller 2005-2006.

Having had 17 successful solo exhibitions, Pauline has participated in numerous group shows throughout Victoria and won several awards and commendations.

Awards:
Second Prize Red Hill Show 1989. Best painting under $400, Camberwell Rotary Art Show 1992. (Awarded by Sir William Dargie). Watercolour Prize St Edwards Art Show 1994. Tarra Art Prize 1995 (Painting acquired for Alberton Shire Art Collection) First Prize Watercolour, Apex Club of Yarram Art Show 1996, 1997.
Edward Clarke Memorial Award 1999. Wangaratta Art Show 1999. Flinders Art Show, 2001. Fellowship of A.G.R.A 2001Sherbrooke Spring Exhibition 9x5 Award 2004 People’s Choice Award Mt Buller Art Show 2005. Flora and Fauna Prize Mt Buller Art Show 2006. D.T.A.S. Little Gems 1st Prize 2007. Best painting pair St Edward’s 2008.
